Qadira Malika Ali, MD, MPH, DipABLM
Dr. Qadira M. Ali, MD, MPH, FAAP, DipABLM is a board-certified pediatrician, certified lifestyle medicine physician, and clinical assistant professor of pediatrics. Dr. Huff practices as a primary care pediatrician at Children’s National Hospital. She is also the founder/CEO of Sprouting Wellness, a lifestyle medicine platform for families that focuses on healthful lifestyle habits, including plant-based nutrition, movement, and mindfulness. Dr. Ali graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine (M.D.) and Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health (M.P.H.) with a focus on food systems, equity, and health disparities. Dr. Ali completed pediatrics residency at Children’s National Hospital with a training focus on historically underserved populations. She is certified in plant-based nutrition from eCornell and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies.
Dr. Ali serves as a public health and lifestyle medicine expert advisor to communities, organizations, and industry. Dr. Ali is an active member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) and co-chair of ACLM’s Health Equity Achieved through Lifestyle Medicine Initiative. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Plant-Based Prevention of Disease nonprofit. Dr. Ali was selected as the inaugural Physician Wellness Lead for the division of primary care pediatrics at Children’s National Hospital. In 2019, she founded the Hyattsville, MD chapter of Walk With A Doc. Dr. Ali lives in Maryland with her family. In her free time, she enjoys writing, cycling, hiking, traveling, and reading.
